  SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS 2008-09
   
  ELECTION OF CANTONMENT BOARD
  The Ranikhet Cantonment Board is divided into 7 wards for which election was conducted in the year 2008. Click for Ward Boundries
 
  TWO PARK
 
The Board has developed two new parks, one at Military hospital and the other near Officers Mess for the pedestrians, public and tourists to take the rest for a while.
 
  RETRO-REFLECTIVE  SIGN BOARD
  The Cantonment Board has fixed retro-reflective sign boards at various places in the cantonment area to create an awareness about the  environment, pollution control as well as to keep the Ranikhet Cantonment neat & clean. 
 
  GENERATOR SET FOR DEVI DUNGA WATER SUPPLY SCHEME
  Ranikhet Cantonment Board being situated on the hills, water is always a very big problem for this cantonment Board.  The Board has taken action from time to time to sort out the problem. The board has installed a pump set at the Devi Dunga water source to lift the water from the said source and supply the drinking water to the board’s reservoir so that sufficient water can be supplied to the public. Due to failure of electricity, the existing water pump pumps in sufficient water. The board has now taken another step to over come the problem with the purchase of new generator set of 125 KVA at the cost of Rs.9 lacs approx. so that electricity will no longer be a problem and water supply will not suffer.
 
  PURCHASE OF 4 NOS.WATER PUMPS
 

Proper water supply to the public is a major problem of the Board especially in summer season when due to acute shortage of water and insufficient number of pump sets. The board has taken a suitable step to sort out the problem and has bought 4 new water pumps and installed them at Abkari water source, Devi Dunga water source and Rani Jheel for pumping sufficient water to the population of Ranikhet Cantonment.

 
  SCHOOL FURNITURE  FOR 4 CANTONMENT PRIMARY SCHOOLS 
  The Board maintains one High School at Sadar Bazar and one Junior High School at Chaubattia apart from the four primary schools at Chaubattia, Mall Road, Kumpoor and Sadar Bazar. The Board is running these schools for children below poverty line. Cantonment Board decided to provide furniture to all children in all Cantonment Primary schools so that the sitting arrangement of the students could be maintained properly and possibly provide games both indoor and outdoor.
 
  CAST IRON BENCHES
  Ranikhet is a beautiful hill station and the public of this beautiful cantonment likes to walks in morning and evening. This activity has become  a part of the daily routine and as there was no facility for the pedestrians to take rest, the board has decided to beautify the cantonment area by keeping in mind suitable place to rest. The Cantonment Board has created pedestrian path and fixed a number of cast iron benches wherever found suitable thereby benefiting tourist and public who may enjoy the scenic beauty of Himalayas.
 
  STEEL BENCHES FOR OFFICE & SCHOOLS
  The Ranikhet Cantonment Board has provided modernized up to date steel furniture to be placed in the office, dispensary, library and all schools to replace obsolete wooden furniture to facilitate the public of Ranikhet who visit the Board.
 
  RETRO-REFLECTIVE WELCOME GATE AT CHINAVIEW CHECK POST
  Retro-reflective welcome gate has been installed by the board at the entry point towards Ranikhet Cantonment to welcome the tourist and the public visiting this place.
 
  SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS 2004-06
 
  HIMSHILA : THE CANTT. GUEST HOUSE  
The Cantt. Board guest house has 5 suites in which there are two VIP suites and three other suites added with kitchen & additional facilities like reception, two annexes, sitting, proper furnishing etc.

NEWLY DEVELOPED PARKS
 
AASHIYANA PARK - The Multifarious Environmental Zone
Hence Ranikhet is a tourist place of international fame,  the Board constructed and developed the Aashiyana Park, a complete park in all respects, as there was not a single park where tourist can visit.  The park is a complete world for all age groups. 

It contains a complete children park, herbal garden for those persons who are interested in herbal and medicinal plants, lawn, sitting arrangement colorful fountains, view points for Himalayan peaks, evening lighting etc. It was inaugurated on 14/11/04.
 
  SHAHEED MAJOR SATI PARK
 
 
The Board has developed a small park at Chaubattia (the highest residential area in this region) in the name of Martyr Maj. Sati.

A tourist can have a landscape view of the peaks upto Nainital. Maj. Sati lost his life in the confrontation against ULFA Terrorist in Manipur.
 
  VEENA PARK
 
A place located at Mall road naturally designed and sketched as Veena is developed as a small park and named as Veena Park. By-passers on Mall Road can view it in the shape of Veena.
