Citizen's Charter is a document which represents a systematic effort to focus on the commitment of the organization towards its citizens in respect to standard of public services, information, choice and constitution, accessibility etc. This also includes expectations of the organization from the citizens for fulfilling their commitment towards society and organization. |

HEALTH CARE FACILITIES |

The Cantonment Board Ranikhet has a newly constructed Dispensary near Police Thana Ranikhet which has been inaugurated on 2nd Oct. 2005 to treat outdoor patients (both employees & citizens) in it's jurisdiction. However, for advanced treatment the patients may be referred to the Civil Hospital Ranikhet maintained by the State Government. |

BIRTH AND DEATH REGISTRATION |
|
|
|
|
| |
The Cantonment Executive Officer is the Registrar of Births and Deaths in the Cantonment Area. Birth certificate can be obtained on the same day of submission of application on payment of a prescribed fee. Death Certificate can be obtained free of cost. |
|
|
|
|
| |
The information regarding births & deaths inside the Cantonment are to be sent by the Army Hospital, Cantonment Board Dispensary, all Nursing Homes in Cantonment & by individuals to the Cantonment Board Office from where the relevant certificates are issued to the individuals as per the laid down rules. |
|
|
|
|
| |
|

| |
PUBLIC HEALTH |
|
|
|
|
| |
Licences under the P.F.A. Act are mandatory for all the traders involved in selling prepared/readymade food items. |
|
|
|
|
| |

Prescribed applications are available with the Food Inspector of the Board on all working days. |
|
|
2. |
Duly filled in forms are to be submitted in person to the Food Inspector. |
|
|
3. |
Deficiencies in application/establishment is communicated, if any, after inspection by the Health Officer/Food Inspector. |
|
|
4. |
The matter is considered by the Civil Area Committee/the Board and eligible applicants is issued licences after payment of the prescribed fee. |
|
|

|
|
| |
BUILDING PLANS |
|
|
|
|
| |
Whoever intends to erect or re-erect any building in Cantonment, is required to apply on prescribed application form for sanction by giving notice in writing to the Cantonment Board office. The construction activities are accordingly regulated in terms of Cantt. Acts and in conformity with the Building bye-laws of Cantonment Board. |

PROCESS OF MUTATION |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Apart from normal municipal functions, the Board undertakes the process of mutation also as most of the land in the Cantt Board's jurisdiction is defence land. |
|
|
|
|
| |
1. |
Application for mutation is submitted in the office on any working day on the prescribed performa in Forms A&C available on payment. |
|
|
2. |
Defects if any is intimated to the applicant within 30 days. |
|
|
3. |
After rectification of defects if any the site is inspected for ensuring non-violation of Government-prescribed terms & conditions. |
|
|
4. |
Violations found, if any is intimated to the applicant within 45 days of the application. |
|
|
5. |
All clear cases is considered by the Civil Area Committee in it's immediately next meeting and after the Board's final confirmation objections is invited by public notice in news papers at the cost of the applicant. |
|
|
6. |
Objections received, if any, is considered and suitably disposed off by the Civil Area Committee/the Board and final mutation is either approved or turned down by the Board. |
|
|
7. |
Then the amendments, if need , in the GLR is made as per the Board Resolution under the Executive Officer's signature. |
|
|

|
|
| |
WATER SUPPLY |
|
|
|
|
| |
The main source of drinking water is the spring water which is taped at various sites, Devi Dunga is the most important water supply plant. The Board also receives bulk water supply from Jal Nigam and from MES, Ranikhet and the same is redistributed to the public through private water connections and, public water stand posts/public water tanks at various points. |
|

SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE |
|
|
|
|
| |
Wherever possible the householders can apply for sewer connection and if allowed can get the connection made under the supervision of the Board staff. The Board has provided drainage system almost in all residential area which is in well maintained stage. |
|

| |
ROADS/PATHS |
|
|
|
|
| |
The Board maintains 11 kms of metalled roads, and 11.416 Kms of unmetalled roads apart from several bridle paths which act as Major Link ways and short-cut routes for pedestrians in this hill station. |

| |
