Ranikhet Cantonment Board has undertaken Renovation/Improvement of Cantt Fund Properties with creation of multi-nature Assets/Premises which comprise widening/resurfacing of public roads, renovation and face-lifting of Public Gardens/Parks, Office, Schools, Markets/Shops, Water Supply Schemes, Sewage System, Cantt Fund Quarters etc. |

The Board has Constructed Vijay Chowk, Ashok Dwar, Veena Park, Aashiyana Park, Guest House & Shopping Mall, Community Hall (about to complete) and mechanization of conservancy fleet etc. has also been undertaken and various schemes are under planning stages. |

ELECTRICITY & STREET LIGHTING |

Street lighting in the Civil area and in Bungalow area is maintained by the Cantonment Board. Energy is drawn partly from Uttaranchal Power Corporation and partly from MES, Ranikhet. Attractive Street light points such as sodium vapour, fittings, mercury fittings, flood light fittings, tube lights have installed by the Board at various suitable road junctions/places. |

One high mast light fittings containing nine points at high top 11 meter has been installed at Vijay Chowk near Som Nath Ground. |

WATER SUPPLY |

| |
The main source of drinking water is the spring water which is taped at various sites, Devi Dunga is the most important water supply plant. The Board also receives bulk water supply from Jal Nigam and from MES, Ranikhet and the same is redistributed to the public through private water connections and, public water stand posts/public water tanks at various points. |

Application form can be obtained from the Cantt. Board Office on payment of prescribed fee. |
2. |
Receipt of application: The application form along with the recommendation of the concerned Ward Member will be accepted on all working days. |
3. |
Either rejection or intimation to applicant to deposit the requisite fee: Within 30 days. |
4. |
Issue of sanction letter: Within 30 days of deposit of fee and execution of the requisite agreement by the applicant. |
5. |
Connection lying : Within 10 days of issue of sanction letter. |

Complaints will be attended to within 1 to 24 hours. Water supply through tanker/trolley will be provided within three hours of complaint if there is failure of water supply. |

|
| |
Booking of water trolley for marriages/other functions: one should apply 2 to 7 days before the date of function and pay the requisite user charges. |

WATER CHARGES |

The water connections are provided by the Cantonment Board office on receipt of application and on deposit of requisite charges. Water charges are prescribed/applicable at a flat rate for domestic and commercial connection as indicated hereunder : |

The residents are required to pay the water charges Half yearly upto the due date mentioned on the bill. Apart from individual water connections, the Board has provided Water Stand posts in civil/Bungalow areas too. |
